Each year, on June, 21, all major cities of Ukraine conduct All-Ukrainian Race Day. Similar actions usually take place in many countries of the world every year and are dedicated to celebration of the foundation of the International Olympic Committee in June, 23, 1894.
According to the information of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, the participants of the event will be famous sportsmen, Olympic champions, winners of European competitions, and many average Ukrainians interested in this kind of sport. Last year, there were about 500 thousand people of different ages who participated in this action in Ukraine.
In Kyiv, the Race Day events will start at 11 am at the main street – Khreschatik. The raisin of the celebration will be a competition of pole-vaulting.
