According to research undertaken by media, Lviv has become the first city in the top list of the 55 best Ukrainian cities to live in. The annual rating of “The Best Cities for Life” provided by Mass Media event called Resource Focus, evaluated the cities of Ukraine by a number of factors, such as ecological safety, city utilities, municipal economy, and also life conditions in crisis and the prognosis for future development.

During the two latest years, Lviv has been considered having a high business potential, which harmonically coincides with educational and cultural city life, this is why it offers its citizens a number of opportunities to self-realize. Being an old historical center, it also hosts the biggest number of tourists among all foreign tourists who visit Ukraine. 

Among the best cities to live in, there are also Kiev (Kyiv), Kharkiv, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Yalta and others.

Odessa has been notable for the lowest unemployment rate, Kharkiv – for the highest educational potential and the numerous student population. Yalta is recognized as the city with the most developed infrastructure, with the best provision of kindergardens, schools and hospitals. Among the small cities with population less than 50, 000, Truskavets and Mirgorod were marked as the best resort cities. Kolomiya is the safest Ukrainian city, Chernihiv is the most ecologically clean, and Mariupol has less expensive real estate, where the prices are 4 times lower than in Kiev.
