Ukraine's Celebrities
The prestigious German lifestyle magazine GQ honored a worldly known Ukrainian, boxer Vitaliy Klichko, with a prestigious award “Man of the year” in the nomination “Comeback of the year”, for his impressive return to the boxing ring after 1100 days of retirement. In October 2008 he won back his championship belt as he defeated Samuel Peter, the current holder of the championship title.
"I am very happy to receive this award. It is another sign that my return to the ring was absolutely right" - said the Ukrainian boxer, whose award was presented by US-singer Grace Jones.
The elder brother Klichko was awarded at the first time, when his younger brother Vladimir Klichko has already been awarded in 2006. Under the version of International boxing federation the world champion Vladimir Klichko received the award for “Success in sport, public and charity activities”
