The exhibit “French Royal Bronze” of the well known Louvre museum will be open for public in September, 2008. Bronze sculptures from the collection of Louis XIV will be represented at the House of Metropolitan, on the territory of Sofia of Kiev Monastery Complex. Kiev is thrilled in anticipation to see the greatest masterpieces of the world art which are to be brought to Ukraine for the first time.
The press service of the foundation for Development of Ukraine has reported that the exhibition of Louvre’s sculptures have never left the borders of France before. The capital of Ukraine is the first city in the World which will host the valuable heritage of Louvre Museum. The works of art are evaluated to cost about 15 mln. euros.
The exhibition will be open on September, 12 and closed on December, 13. On the first day of the exhibition the president of Ukraine, the president of charity Foundation for Development of Ukraine and the chief director of the Louvre Museum from Paris are invited.
The exhibition consists of 17 exhibits, distributed among the three sections (according the 3 halls of the House of Metropolitan).
Section 1: "Ancient Subjects in the sculpture" (7 sculptures)
Section 2: "Giambologna and his followers" (4 exhibit)
Section 3: "Artworks of XVII-th century" (6 exhibits)

Charity Foundation for Development of Ukraine is a non-profit-making organization which was founded by SCM on 15 July 2005. The Foundation was created for implementation of the corporate social responsibility policy – one of the fundamental policies of SCM Group.
