DU Chatroom September 6, 2008

Welcome to join our weekly Saturday Chatroom, September, 6, 2008, at 4pm GMT (or 10am CST, or 9am MST, or 6pm Ukraine time).

Dear DU Chatroom visitors, DU Community members and guests,

We are glad to announce the beginning of the new season of chatrooms after a few weeks of summer vacations! Now, you are welcome to join our weekly discussions at usual time, on Saturdays, and the topics of the weekly discussions  will be announced by email before each chatroom.

The first of September marks the beginning of a new school year and a new year in all academic activities to many of us. In Ukraine many families associate the beginning of September with the beginning of a new working year, for almost every family has at least one member who studies and needs to adjust daily schedule to their timetable of classes.

We could not miss this reason to open a discussion about Education and bringing up of youth in Ukrainian society. You are  welcome to join us and use this opportunity to share your experiences, opinions and looks at this big and everlasting topic of discussion.

These are a few general subtopics which we intend to discuss this Saturday:

Programs and actions held by Ukrainian society to bring up and educate the Ukrainian youth
Foreign students in Ukraine
Educational processes taking place in Ukraine under the influence of world globalization: the so-called Bologna process
Higher Education in Ukraine
Is it easy to be parents?
How does it feel to be a teacher today?
Distance learning is taking over today.
What's next?

Dear friends, you are welcome to join us for this discussion on Saturday, and we hope you will enjoy every minute of the talk!
