we are working to inform you about Ukraine and the lifestyle of Ukrainian people. In this newsletter, we provide highlights of events and publications which appeared on our websites in August, 2008, and will announce about the upcoming events of September. As most of the DU Network's team teachers are Russians and Ukrainians, we provide the most effective courses of Russian/Ukrainian languages with native speakers. You can choose your way of study - in a group or individually, starting from alphabet or signing up to take a more advanced course.
If you have studied Russian before, you may also be interested in the course of Russian/Ukrainian literature and art, learning Russian character through Russian literature. Please, contact us to learn more about these courses.
The virtual education is recognized as an effective, quick and inexpensive way of learning. If you have no time and means to visit a Russian speaking country, but you need to master Russian language, then taking a number of online classes with a native teacher via computer is the answer. The course presents a perfect solution for those who are planning to visit their fiancées and need to obtain basic knowledge of simple conversational tools for everyday communication during their Russian trip. The course was developed on the basis of the Romantic Russian Phrasebook.
Discover Ukraine continues to host the weekly Saturday voice/video chatrooms, where you can meet Ukrainians, talk about Ukraine and take part in discussion of particular topic on DU in a friendly and cozy environment. Follow the Chatroom announcements at the DU Network's Community Web site, and find out what is the topic of coming week.
Each Saturday in September, DU Network's team will announce a discussion topic about a particular side of life in Ukraine. As September marks the beginning of a new academic year internationally, we will devote some time to discussing specifics of obtaining education in Ukraine; we will also talk about the role of knowing Russian for those who are planning to visit Ukraine (Russia) soon, and many other topics which may be very beneficial to those who are interested to learn more about Ukraine and Ukrainians.

Discover Ukraine Community We are proud and happy to have a wonderful community of friends at Discover Ukraine Network.
